Fairlea Ranch / Silver Gun
$5,000 Added 2009 Yearling Sale Purse
Yearlings that are NRCHA Stakes Eligible and actually sell in the Classic Yearling & Broodmare Sale or the Select Yearling & Broodmare Sale in 2009 are eligible to make a payment of $250 that makes them paid into the NRCHA Yearling Sale Purse. In 2009 $5,000 sponsored by Fairlea Ranch Silver Gun will be added to the combined payments to form the 2009 Fairlea Ranch Silver Gun Yearling Purse that will be paid to the highest advancing eligible 3 year-old in the 2011 NRCHA Futurity Open Preliminaries.
The Fairlea Ranch Silver Gun Yearling Sale Purse fee can be paid by the consignor before the sale or by the buyer after they purchase a yearling.
Payments must be made no later than the last Sunday of the NRCHA Futurity.
A yearling that is NRCHA Stakes Eligible is "Eligible for the Fairlea Ranch Silver Gun Sale Purse". If it also changed hands by selling in the Classic Yearling & Broodmare Sale or the Select Yearling & Broodmare Sale and made the Fairlea Ranch Silver Gun Sale Purse payment by the last Sunday of the Futurity it is "Paid up for the Fairlea Ranch Silver Gun Yearling Sale Purse".
NRCHA Subscribed Stallion Program
Stallion owners can subscribe a stallion so the offspring of a specific foaling year will eligible to show in the NRCHA Stakes. This payment can be paid any time up through the 5 year-old year of a foal crop. The
subscription payment increases for each year after the breeding year of a foal crop. A horse sired by a stallion that was subscribed for the year that horse was foaled is NRCHA Stakes Eligible.
NRCHA Stakes Eligible horses can show in the NRCHA Stakes as 4 and 5 year-olds. Only NRCHA Stakes Eligible yearlings can nominate and compete for the Fairlea Ranch Silver Gun Yearling Sale Purse. For Subscribed Stallions go to www.NRCHA.com.
NRCHA 2 Year-Old Sale Purse
Each year Ward River Ranch donate the NRCHA Futurity Raffle Colt. Half of the raffle proceeds are used to sponsor the NRCHA 2 Year-Old Sale Purse. This money and $150 from the entry fee of each NRCHA Select 2 Year-Old Sale entry are combined to make the NRCHA 2Year-Old Sale Purse. In addition the
NRCHA has guaranteed that the NRCHA 2 Year-Old Sale Purse will be at least $30,000.
Markel $500 Bonus
Each time a buyer signs for the purchase a horse, they get a chance for the Markel Bonus award for that Sale. At the end of each of the four Sales, a drawing will be held and the winner will receive a $500 Markel Bonus. Anyone can win - regardless of the price of the horse they buy.
Markel Insurance Company will be providing fall of the hammer coverage to NRCHA members for horses purchased at the NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity Horse Sales. Mortality coverage will be provided for the horse's purchase price once the hammer drops and coverage will cease 24 hours after the start of each sale.
