The
43rd

January 31, 2012, Berryville, Virginia - Professional Auction Services,
Inc. concluded its first Online Auction on January 26, 2012. The
bidding on horses closed over three evening sessions.
The auction generated interest from around the country. The auction
attracted 360 registered bidders. Sixty-Three horses were sold to
buyers from 19 states and Canada, from California to Florida. Consignors

a price that they will accept and buyers will be able to click on
the Make an Offer button and submit an offer for that
horse. The Second Chance is available through February 17.
The results of our first online only auction exceeded our
expectations. The response was great, said Tim Jennings, Director
of Marketing for Professional Auction Services, Inc. We believe
that the online auctions are a viable marketing option for the horse
industry.
Online auctions can become one of the most cost effective accelerated
marketing tools available to the horse industry. Sellers can prepare
and sell from home and offer their horses to a world-wide market.
Buyers will have the opportunity to shop for horses from their computer
or smart phone.
Sellers at PAS online auctions are required to provide more information
than any other online site where horses are offered for sale. Buyers
can arrange to visit sellers and examine horses in person arrange
for pre-purchase veterinary examinations.
We learned a lot from the first auction, said Jennings.
Quality photos and videos are crucial. The firm provides
articles on taking good photographs and videos of horses. Digital
Horse Services will edit video footage for online auction entries
for $59 per video.
Entries for the next online auction from Professional Auction Services
open February 10th and the entry deadline is March 9th. Bidding
will open on March 23 and will close from March 27 to the March
