Leesburg, VA - Auctioneer Keith Babb of Monroe, Louisiana, has joined the staff of the World Championship Quarter Horse Show Sale. Babb serves as auctioneer at Heritage Place, Ruidoso and the Primetime Cutting Sale held during the NCHA Futurity among others. He is a member of the National Auctioneers Association, a former governor of the Auction Marketing Institute and holds the A.M.I.ís prestigious C.A.I. certification.

Babb has been the auctioneer for the highest priced American Quarter Horses ever sold at auction. He was lead auctioneer for the Phillips Ranch Dispersal selling Queen For Cash at $1,125, 000 and sold the highest yearling American Quarter Horse ever sold at auction at the Vessels Sale for $650,000.

Babb joins the World Sale team of Auctioneers Mike Jennings, Tim Jennings and Tony Langdon and sale announcers Vic Clark, Joel White and Bruce McCarty.

The World Championship Quarter Horse Show Sale is the leading show horse auction for American Quarter Horses. The sale is held in conjunction with the American Quarter Horse Associationís World Championship Quarter Horse Show in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in November each year. The 1999 World Championship Quarter Horse Show Sale cataloged 540 horses with a sale average price of $8,881. Ninety nine (99) horses sold for $10,000 or more and 230 horses sold for $5,000 or more over the three days of the sale. The high selling horse at the 1999 World Sale was An Awesome Mister, who sold for $227,000.

The Sale is managed by Professional Auction Services, Inc. of Leesburg, Virginia. Professional Auction Services, Inc. was founded in 1978 by Mike Jennings and Tim Jennings and has managed nearly 165 horse auctions with gross sales of over $70,000,000. The firmís gross sales in 1999 were nearly $10,000,000. Professional Auction Services, Inc. has been retained by AQHA to manage the sale through 2002.
